Inverse Faraday Effect in Superconductors with a Finite Gap in the Excitation Spectrum

The inverse Faraday effect (generation of a time-independent magnetic moment under the action circularly polarized electromagnetic wave) in mesoscopic superconducting samples with finite gap excitation spectrum is analytically described. Within modified time-dependent Ginzburg–Landau theory (Kramer–Watts-Tobin equations) for thin disks, it shown that temperature dependence optically induced nonmonotonic wide range parameters and contains maximum. This maximum due to dephasing between spatial oscillations magnitude phase order parameter, which arises decrease and, correspondingly, characteristic relaxation time perturbations condensate.
